Imagine, sweaty childhood summers playing outside with friends. The irresistible jingle of your local ice cream truck tempts your appetite as it makes its way through the neighborhood. You run towards it, trying to weasel to the front of the line for first pick as it pulls up to the curb. It’s now time to make the sweetest and most important decision of your day. Glancing over the menu, you’re stoked to see a few of your favorite characters immortalized as popsicles. How cool!
Now…Imagine if those character choices were unlimited!
This memory was the inspiration for Andrew Heath’s limited edition art print series, “Pop Culture Popsicles”. Introduced in 2014, the print series set the Internet ablaze, going viral on several graphic design and illustration news outlets. This success led to creating officially licensed artwork for Ghostbusters’ 30th Anniversary and Adventure Time art shows at L.A.’s premier pop culture gallery, Gallery 1988. In 2021, the idea was conceptualized as a collectible vinyl toy line and became Frozen Culture!
